Description of Practice
Mitchell Feldman is a Certified and Federal Court Mediator with over 20 years of civil litigation and trial experience. He was recently certified in the middle district of Florida as an approved federal mediator.
I began my legal career in insurance defense of workers compensation, personal injury and medical malpractice claims, representing insurance carriers and the state of Florida for a period of approximately 14 years. Throughout this time and thereafter, I also represented businesses in civil commercial litigation and employment law disputes before focusing my practice over the last 8 years representing individuals in employment law, workers’ compensation, and personal injury claims.
I have focused much of my practice on large-scale wage and hour claims, including nationally and regionally certified collective and class actions under the FLSA and FMWA. Over my legal career as well, I have taken cases to jury trial on both the plaintiff and defense side, handled bench trials and workers’ compensation final merits hearings, as well as several appeals with published opinions. My last jury trial was a jury verdict for my clients with 100% recovery of all damages, co-counseled in a Federal District Court wage and hour claim under the FLSA and Florida Minimum Wage Act in the Middle District of Florida. 80% of my practice in the past 5 years was dedicated to employment law disputes, including FLSA collective actions.
I am uniquely experienced representing individuals, corporations, and insurance companies on both sides of legal disputes in employment law cases, insurance and personal injury claims, and workers’ compensation claims.
